🇮🇳 India has opened 8 new Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across the U.S. to enhance visa and passport service access.
📍 The new centres are located in Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Raleigh, and San Jose.
🏢 These centres are managed by VFS Global, offering services like visa applications, OCI cards, passport renewals, and document attestation.
📆 All 8 centres operate six days a week, including Saturdays, for the convenience of applicants.
📈 With these additions, the U.S. now hosts a total of 16 ICACs, and one more is expected to launch soon in Los Angeles.
🗣️ Ambassador Vinay Kwatra virtually inaugurated the new centres, emphasizing their role in strengthening India–U.S. relations.
🤝 The initiative supports India’s large diaspora in the U.S., ensuring smoother and faster access to essential consular services.
🧾 Some centres also offer form-filling support, document photocopying, and passport-size photo services.
📦 Applicants can opt for courier return services for added convenience.
🌍 The move reflects India’s commitment to building stronger ties with its global community and modernizing overseas citizen services.
