This summer, an exciting adventure awaits 35,551 young Europeans who will embark on a journey across the continent thanks to the DiscoverEU initiative. Part of the Erasmus+ program, this program aims to promote cultural exchange and connections between European youth by offering them free travel tickets.

- Great interest: The initiative received a huge response, with more than 180,000 applicants vying for the opportunity in April.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 years old and residents of EU or Erasmus+ related countries.
- Travel Window: Successful applicants will be able to travel either individually or in a group from July 2024 to September 2025.
- Additional benefits: Recipients also receive a European Youth Card, which offers discounts on transport, accommodation, cultural activities and other services across Europe.
- Cultural immersion: DiscoverEU encourages young people to immerse themselves in Europe’s diverse heritage, promoting a sense of unity and understanding of cultures.
- Future opportunities: The next round of applications opens in the fall and continues the program’s success since 2018, with more than 1.4 million applications submitted to date.
