  1. No More Online Tests: Only in-person English proficiency tests are accepted; online tests are no longer valid.

  2. Higher Minimum Scores: Expect stricter score requirements across various visa categories.

  3. No More Background-Based Proof: Previous English-speaking backgrounds no longer suffice; valid test results are mandatory.

  4. Accepted Tests: IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English, and OET are recognized.

  5. Skilled Residence Visa: Requires IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 79, PTE 58, or equivalent.

  6. Accredited Employer Work Visa: Level 4–5 jobs now require proof of English proficiency.

  7. Student Visas: Some flexibility remains; however, English test results may still be requested.

  8. Entrepreneur & Business Visas: Minimum English scores are now mandatory.

  9. English Lessons for Dependents: Partners and dependents can purchase English lessons to meet requirements.
