  • 🩺 Applicants must pass health and character checks, including a medical reassessment in Year 3.

  • 🛡️ They must hold comprehensive health insurance, covering emergency care, cancer, and repatriation.

  • 👨‍👧 Sponsors must be adult children (citizens or residents) who meet income or savings criteria.

  • 💵 Financial options include a sponsor earning the median wage or parents showing NZD $160K (single) or $250K (couple) in funds.

  • 💳 The visa costs NZD $3,000, or $2,450 for Pacific applicants, plus a $100 tourism levy.

  • 🧾 A mid-visa medical check costs NZD $325, or $240 under the Pacific band.

  • 📚 Visa holders can study for up to 3 months per year and work remotely (offshore jobs only), but cannot work in New Zealand.
