What is a Moldovan eVisa?
An eVisa is the electronic form of the Moldovan visa, issued through the Moldovan consular system rather than as a physical visa sticker placed in your passport.
The document is issued with:
- A reference number unique to your application
- Your personal details (name, first name, father's name, date of birth)
- Your travel document number, along with its date of issue and date of expiry
- The visa type (for employment cases, the D category and its sub-type)
- Visa validity and the number of entries
- The duration of stay
- Where applicable, the invitation letter reference
- The date of approval
Important: a Moldovan electronic visa is valid only if presented together with the travel document named on it. The eVisa is tied to the passport it was issued against. Travelling with a different passport, or with a passport that has since expired, invalidates the visa. This is one of the most common avoidable mistakes.
What is the D/AM category?
Moldova issues several visa categories, and D is the long-stay category — the type used by people who intend to stay for employment purposes rather than a short visit.
The D/AM designation is the specific sub-type shown on the eVisa for these cases. Because categories and sub-types are set by the Moldovan authorities and can be updated, confirm that your case is being filed under the correct category before submission — the wrong category is not something that can be corrected at the border.

How to check a Moldovan eVisa is genuine
Every Moldovan electronic visa can be independently verified. The official verification page is:

You can check your own visa, and employers and agencies can verify a candidate's visa rather than taking a scanned copy on trust. A PDF of a visa is easy to alter; a verification against the official page is not.
Candidates: if anyone asks you to pay for a "visa verification service", that is a warning sign. Verification is free and official.
What Bangladeshi applicants should prepare
The eVisa is the visa itself, but the underlying application follows the same documentary foundation. Prepare early, and make sure everything is consistent:
- Valid passport — with sufficient validity, and consistent with the details on the application. The eVisa will be issued against this exact document.
- Correct personal details — including your father's name as it appears on your documents. Inconsistencies between documents are a frequent cause of delay.
- Employment documentation — the contract or offer supporting the D/AM category
- Invitation letter, where the route requires one
- Photographs meeting the current specification
- Supporting certificates for your trade or qualification, where the role requires them
Name spellings, date formats and document numbers must match across every document. A mismatch between your passport and your application is a delay you control.
What has not changed
The introduction of an electronic visa changes how the visa is issued and verified — not the standard a candidate must meet.
- Eligibility is assessed by the Moldovan authorities
- Employers' hiring needs and any employment authorisation remain their own approval, separate from the visa
- Nobody can guarantee a visa, a permit or an approval
- Timelines depend on the authorities and on how complete your file is
If you are dealing with an agent or agency
Use the same discipline you would for any other corridor:
- Verify the visa yourself at the official page before making any payment or travel decision
- Never pay for a guaranteed job or visa — a guarantee is not a service, it is a warning
- Pay through digital channels only — never cash
- Never hand over your passport informally, and keep a copy of every page
- Ask which visa category your case is filed under, and get it in writing
