Romania

Work Permit / Work Visa (Long Stay D)
For employment with a Romanian employer
Required Documents
- Passport (valid 12+ months, 2+ blank pages)

- Work permit from Romanian Immigration (IGI)

- Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) — Indian Apostille & Nepali MOFA

Activity / Employment (D/AS Visa)
For long-stay activity/employment in Romania (D/AS visa category) — for guidance only; confirm final requirements with the Romanian Embassy/Consulate or visa centre before submission.
Required Documents
- Document substantiating the purpose of the application (supporting document for the declared activity/employment purpose of stay)
- Employment contract — valid, concluded between the foreign national and the Romanian employer/beneficiary company, duly signed by both parties
- Official document attesting the up-to-date functioning of the foreign (sending) company — current certificate/extract of active legal status issued by the registry/authority in the country of origin
- Letter of Intent — original, with authenticated Romanian translation, detailing the purpose of the trip and activities to be carried out in Romania
- Tax Certificate and Fiscal Residence Certificate — current tax clearance/status certificate + certificate of fiscal residence issued by the applicant's country tax authority
- Travel ticket / vehicle supporting documents — confirmed itinerary (flight reservation/ticket) or vehicle documents for the journey
- Means of support — proof of subsistence from professional activity, at least 3× the average gross monthly salary in Romania, evidenced for each of the last 6 months and covering the full requested stay
- Accommodation — proof for the full intended stay (hotel booking, rental/lease agreement, or host declaration)
- Criminal Record Certificate (PCC) — issued by the competent authority of country of nationality/residence, apostilled/legalised and translated as required
- Passport — scanned copy of front and back (bio-data) pages; valid 3+ months beyond intended stay, 2+ blank pages
- Photograph — one recent passport-size photo meeting Romanian/Schengen photo specs (colour, plain light background, taken within last 6 months)
- Travel medical insurance — valid for the entire stay, minimum coverage EUR 30,000, valid across Schengen territory
Business / Short Stay Visa
For business visits, conferences, trade (up to 90 days)

- Invitation letter — Nepali: DRCO stamp; Indian: IGI invitation
- Covering letter (business purpose)

Austria
Embassy of Austria, New Delhi
Work Permit / Work Visa (National Visa D)
For employment with an Austrian employer. The Austrian employer must first obtain the AMS work permit (Beschäftigungsbewilligung) from the Austrian Labour Market Authority.
Required Documents
- Visa application form (Formular D1) — completed in English/German, signed
- Passport — valid 3+ months beyond intended stay, 2+ blank pages, issued within the last 10 years, no alterations
- 1 recent photo — ICAO standard
- Flight itinerary — return/onward travel proof
- Accommodation proof — hotel booking or host confirmation
- Travel medical insurance — minimum EUR 30,000 cover, valid for the entire stay
- Proof of occupation — salary certificate (last 3 months) + employment contract + NOC (if employed); GST/incorporation certificate (if self-employed); pension statement (if retired); enrollment proof (if student)
- Proof of sufficient funds — bank statements (last 3 months) + ITR-V (last 3 years)
- AMS work permit — “Beschäftigungsbewilligung” from the Austrian Labour Market Authority, obtained by the Austrian employer
- Letter of support from the Austrian employer / copy of the work contract
- Copy of present passport (data + prior visa pages) + old passport(s), if any
- Contact details — email, mobile number, business card
- All documents in English — if not, certified translation + notarisation required
Supplementary Documents — strengthens the application, not embassy-mandated
- PAN Card — supports ITR verification
- Net Worth Certificate — CA-issued, if bank statement/ITR alone is thin
- Property Valuation Report — by a registered valuer, backing the Net Worth Certificate
- Education Certificates — not required for the work-permit route, but useful if the profile/skill match is questioned
- Family ID proof (Ration Card + Aadhaar, notarised, or family passports) — only if family/dependent ties need to be shown
