New USCIS Immigration Fees Effective July 22: Key Changes for Work Permits, Asylum & TPS Applicants

  1. ๐Ÿ“† Starting July 22, 2025, USCIS will implement new, mandatory immigration-related fees.

  2. ๐Ÿ’ผ Asylum seekers must now pay $100 for Form I-589, plus $100 annually while their case is pending.

  3. ๐Ÿงพ First-time work permit applicants (Form I-765) will pay up to $550.

  4. ๐Ÿ” Renewal of work permits will cost $275 under the new fee structure.

  5. ๐Ÿง Special Immigrant Juveniles must pay $250 when filing Form I-360.

  6. ๐ŸŒŽ Individuals registering for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) will now pay $500 for Form I-821.

  7. ๐Ÿšซ These fees are non-waivable, even for low-income or asylum applicants.

  8. โณ USCIS will reject any incomplete or unpaid applications submitted after August 21, 2025.

  9. ๐Ÿ“ The changes are part of the H.R. 1 law focused on immigration processing costs.
